I sent you a message telepathically and you didn’t respond. Are you mad at me? I often message people with the weird idea that they’ll message me back. You don’t need to leave a message in a bottle. If the bottle is full of tequila, I’ll get the message. If a stranger starts talking to me in an elevator I say “I don’t want to talk in case we get stuck and I have to eat you” that usually shuts them up.
